 VERSES TO TOUCH YOUR SOUL

Lay your head on the soft body,
savor the song that made you a friend,
for I let myself drift,
until a strong wind placed me in the rightful place.

I circle the dimensional plaza of my heart,
sitting in white before the Church,
thinking of waves, feeling from afar
the song of sirens.

I descended the stairs, warmed your water,
stood before the emotion
that fully embraces me,
that caresses my skin and lies upon my chest.

For we don’t sleep with the lights on,
and in the darkness, I hear a voice,
a direction appears to me.

For there are no more whys,
nor tender touches to make me respond
to this voice that advises me,
to this false distance
that sours the sweet and melts the dessert.

I am walking far away,
following the steps of a wandering soul,
who found within himself
the peak of the isolated mountain
and the depths of a ravaged land.

And in recognizing your voice,
in sensing your scent,
in laughing at your laughter,
in desiring your desire…

I asked time to stop,
and descended from the heavens possessed,
falling into a frozen valley,
just to make you smile,
just to feel beside you.

And for a brief period of existence,
I found your soul again in this sea of uncertainty,
sang with a mute heart,
and planted in your being something I will not reap.

For I want to see you grow,
I want to walk beside you,
but if now I cannot find you:
I leave my place and pray to the heavens
that good angels accompany you,
while I drift away,
preserving you in my memories,
invoking in you the love that heals and transforms.
