The farewell

SAYING GOODBYE

It is hard to say goodbye,
as the flower of life blooms nearby.

A new beginning is beautiful,
memories held tight,
joys that were bright,
and sorrows felt right.

But what remains
after the departure?
The sweet existence
drifting from you,
distancing from Earth
and manifesting beyond matter.

Returning to its cradle,
celebrating its achievements.

For farewells may
bring pain to those who stay,
but the reunion of souls
brings forth true joy.

And what remains for us,
is to cultivate the now,
in the present moment,
hoping one day
to depart consciously,
and in one final breath
find eternal peace.
